Maintpartner to take over VAASAN Group maintenance in Finland
Maintpartner Group and VAASAN Group have signed an extensive maintenance agreement regarding VAASAN Group’s production facilities in Kotka and Joutseno as well as 12 bakeries in Finland. As part of the agreement, VAASAN’s maintenance business will be transferred to Maintpartner Oy. VAASAN’s maintenance personnel will transfer to Maintpartner Oy’s payroll as existing employees.
"We are consolidating our maintenance operations in Finland to a single partner, Maintpartner Oy. In the same conjunction, we are also transitioning to the use of a single maintenance sys-tem. With these measures we are strengthening the development of our maintenance functions and expanding our maintenance support network," says VAASAN’s Maintenance Manager Markku Jääskeläinen.
The phase in of maintenance responsibility to Maintpartner will start on September 1, 2010.
"Phasing in the responsibility ensures a controlled transition of the maintenance functions and a systematic launch of the development operations," says Maintpartner’s Markku Simola, Vice President, Region South Finland.
"Our company’s first industrial maintenance accounts were in the food industry in the early 1990s – and we are still carrying most of these accounts. The biggest reasons driving customer loyalty have been the solid, joint investments to improve productivity and cost efficiency. I believe that these will create a firm foundation also for the partnership we are now beginning with VAASAN Group,” notes Maintpartner’s Juha Lepikko, Vice President, Marketing & Sales.
